China

China is probably the most underrated travel destination I have ever been to. There are comparatively few international tourists even though visiting the country is easy, safe, and affordable. And the country is truly fascinating and has something to offer for everyone!

My experience in China

Prior to my first trip to China I was quite nervous as it seemed rather challenging due to language, customs, and regulations. However, it turned out to be much easier than expected!

Do not hesitate if you are interested in visiting this fascinating country! The infrastructure is great, the sights impressive, and the people extremely friendly. There were far fewer international tourists than expected in Beijing so you can feel like a pioneer while benefiting from a well-run machine.

So far, I have only visited Beijing but I hope to go back soon and discover other parts of the country. However, as I stayed three weeks in the capital I got to know this exciting city quite well. It definitely ranks right up there with places like London or New York when it comes to the number and variety of attractions and sights. I had the most wonderful time!

There are expansive historical palaces, beautiful parks, historic temples, modern skyscrapers, malls of every descriptions and so much more. Truly something for everyone!

  • Transportation Tip – Public transit in Beijing is incredibly clean, safe, efficient, and affordable. I recommend getting a Yikatong travel card for easy payment.
