My experience in Germany
Having grown up in Germany, this is of course one country I know very well. And Germany makes a great vacation destination – there is good public transportation (yes, in spite of the current woes of the National Train Authority), most people speak at least some English, and the country as a whole is very safe.
Whether you plan to visit hip Berlin, posh Munich, the majestic Alps, or some of the quaint Medieval villages – Germany has a lot to offer. Even better, compared to some other popular travel destinations like Lisbon or Barcelona it is not as overrun with tourists.
