NEW THINGS ARE COMING!

It has been rather quiet on the blog lately – life (and work) just have been busy and the blog has been put on the back burner. But that is about to change!

After mostly travelling in North America and Europe, I have embarked on a lengthy trip to Asia. Lengthy? Yes, if everything goes to plan this trip will take a full 6 MONTHS! Six months to explore Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia, and maybe more.

And this is not just a vague plan – I am actually sitting here in Bangkok as I write this! So the trip is definitely happening and I have several blog posts about my experiences in Thailand almost ready to go (I do have some posts about Europe I am working on as well).

So keep your eyes peeled for quite a bit of fresh content to appear soon.

There is also a maybe less exciting change coming: I am in the process of finally adding some affiliate links to this blog. That has actually always been the plan but like so many things got pushed off.

My main reason for this blog is indeed to help other travelers and to share my travel experiences. But writing a blog takes quite a bit more time than one might think. It isn’t just the trip planning, travelling, picture taking, photo editing, researching, and writing either. For example I have just spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why a Thailand link insists on going to my Florida page and am no closer to a resolution than when I started.

Anyway, without making at least a little bit of money from this blog, I just can’t justify spending the time for regular updates instead of actually working for a living. So like most travel bloggers I will add affiliate links – if you click on these and make a purchase, I will get a small commission at no extra cost to you.

However, if you hate any commercial content on blogs – no worries. You are of course welcome to read this blog without ever clicking on an affiliate link!
