My experience in Thailand
After spending most of my life travelling in Europe and the Americas, I am finally discovering Asia. And Thailand was one of my first destinations on this – to me – new continent.
My trip included four weeks in Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, one of my favorite cities ever. With hundreds (!) of temples, beautiful nature, and infrastructure that is well set up for tourists, expats, and digital nomads of all kinds, Chiang Mai is the ideal starter-destination in Southeast Asia.
The next stop on my journey was Bangkok, a big change from the much chiller Chiang Mai. With beautiful sights, loads of malls of all descriptions, great public transport, and the majestic Chao Phraya River, Bangkok is well worth a visit. If only it wasn’t quite so hot and humid!
